Stölzle wins triple WorldStar Award 2016

Another year has come to an end culminating in yet again more success for the Stölzle Glass Group: Two unique Whisky bottles and a stunning perfume flacon have been awarded winner in the World Packaging Awards 2016.

293 packaging projects from 35 countries worldwide were judged for their perfect design, shelf appeal, functionality and technical execution. The blue Whisky bottle Haig Club, as well as the heavy weight Whisky bottle Aultmore, both manufactured in the British glassworks Stölzle Flaconnage, convinced the jury to be worthy of winning in the category ‘Beverages.’ The impressively decorated perfume flacon Acqua di Giò, produced and decorated in Stoelzle Masnières, the French site of the Glass Group, resulted winner in the category ‘Health & beauty’.

Acqua di Giò wins Starpack Industry Award 2015

“Technically complex, simple design and difficult glass/colour to blow” - Silver Starpack Award for Armani Aqua di Giò in the category Personal Care.
The use of a new inkjet decoration technique allows to print photorealistic images on a variety of bottles shapes - no limits to colours. The combination of the stunning Armani Island image on the back side and the brand’s name printed on the front creates in addition a stunning 3D effect. By using this technique the Armani brand embarked on a strictly limited edition. The bottle shape remained in its traditional design. This clever combination of decoration techniques makes the fragrance bottle unique – and enhances its value for anybody who collects marvellous fragrance bottles.



Acqua di Giò wins PCD Awards 2015

Armani fragrance received further recognition on the PCD show in Paris. It resulted winner in the category Perfume Men at the PCD Awards 2015.

In 2014 the brand embarked on a strictly limited edition of the Men’s scent Acqua di Giò Blue Edition using a new inkjet decoration technique offered by Stölzle Glass Group. The bottle shape was retained its traditional design; however the appeal of the fragrance was enhanced by the inclusion of the image of Skorpios, the stunning Armani Island. This was achieved through the new digital printing process which uses all the available decoration surface allowing the design to be printed right around the container.

Acqua di Giò wins PCD Awards 2015

In 2014 the brand embarked on a strictly limited edition of the Men’s scent Acqua di Giò Blue Edition using a new inkjet decoration technique offered by Stölzle Glass Group. The bottle shape was retained its traditional design; however the appeal of the fragrance was enhanced by the inclusion of the image of Skorpios, the stunning Armani Island. This was achieved through the new digital printing process which uses all the available decoration surface allowing the design to be printed right around the container. The image of the Island which is owned by Giorgio Armani, evokes the irresistible fragrant breeze of the sea. The bottle received further recognition lately on the PCD show in Paris which resulted in another award as winner in the category Perfume Men at the PCD Awards 2015. 



Teint Visionnaire wins WorldStar Awards 2015

Make-up bottle “Teint Visionnaire” gained international recognition at WorldStar Awards 2015.

On 19 November the judging session took place and representatives from 17 packaging associations as well as members of the World Packaging Organisation judged 264 packaging projects, from 37 countries, that had entered the WorldStar Awards 2015. From 27 entries, the beautiful make-up bottle “Teint Visionnaire” which is being manufactured for Lancôme in the French Stölzle site, was chosen to be one of the WorldStar winners in the category “Health & Beauty”.

Teint Visionnaire wins WorldStar Awards 2015

Make-up bottle “Teint Visionnaire” gained international recognition at WorldStar Awards 2015.

From 27 entries, the beautiful make-up bottle “Teint Visionnaire” which is being manufactured for Lancôme in the French Stölzle site, was chosen to be one of the WorldStar winners in the category “Health & Beauty”.

This year two outstanding STO products gained recognition in the WorldStar Awards. In addition to the make-up bottle, a brilliant Cognac decanter designed and produced for the French company Pierre Lecat, was awarded winner in the category “beverages”, too.

Make-up bottle made by STO awarded silver winner in Starpacks Awards

Stölzle are pleased to announce that Starpack Industry Awards, one of the UK's premier annual awards schemes recognising innovation in packaging design and technology has this year awarded Stölzle with 2 silver awards for excellence in the fields of design and technology: Firstly in the Prestige spirits market for a wonderful Whisky decanter and in our Luxury skincare market for Lancome’s make-up bottle Teint Visionnaire.

Both containers are outstanding products. The awarded skincare product is a beautifully proportioned make up bottle designed and manufactured for Lancôme. The classic shape of the bottle is made up of three different parts: Liquid make-up in the heavy based glass bottle, a concealer, contained in the beautifully presented cap and finally a small mirror which is provided to ease the application for the customer.

‘Receiving the silver winner is a great honour,’ said Johannes Schick, CEO of Stölzle Glass Group. ‘Each of the bottles we submitted involved complex moulding and finishing requirements. Further to Starpacks Awards this items has been nominated finalist in the German Packaging Award, as well, which is a recognition of the superlative skills of our Prestige glass factories and decoration facilities.’

After more than 20 years with the same bottle, Lancôme decided to evolve their design into a new shape. A sharp angular design with its wonderful glass distribution provided the solution.

Lancôme’s redesigned “Tresor” wins UK Luxury Packaging Award & is shortlisted in the UK Packaging Awards 2014

After more than 20 years with the same bottle, Lancôme decided to evolve their design into a new shape. A sharp angular design with its wonderful glass distribution provided the solution.

The new design shines with its brilliant flat sides. The iconic shaped pyramid turned on its head provides a beautiful and mysterious feel. A symbolic shape for all generations, the bottle has a thick glass base which challenges the glass makers’ art given the nature of the narrow neck and the blowing out of the design. The sharp angular edges enhances its unique appearance and the fragrance within.

The brilliance of this bottle has been appreciated by the British Luxury Packaging Awards where the glass flacon has been awarded winner in the luxury perfumery category. Further more the perfume bottle has been nominated finalist in the UK Packaging Awards in the category Glass Pack of the year 2014.

Winners of the UK Packaging Awards will be announced in November.

Stölzle are pleased to announce that another brilliant perfume bottle, Rogue by Rihanna, has been nominated finalist in the UK Luxury Packaging Awards 2014. Winners will be announced in November.

PUSH BOUNDARIES.  BE BOLD.  GO ROGUE.                                                            

With a chic yet edgy aesthetic, Rihanna designed the ROGUE bottle to reflect her personality. From top to bottom, this showcases sensual strength with 6 spikes inverted at the base, rising into a soft rose gold collar and draped in a stingray-inspired motif at the cap.  “People are always changing and evolving, and with ROGUE, I wanted to switch it up to reflect who I am today. It’s a personal fragrance that’s more self-aware. It’s ROGUE, it’s me.” says Rihanna. The flacon is designed by Henry Thierion de Monclin and is manufactured at Stölzle Masnieres, France.
